Student-led · Thailand · Robotics for all

Launch B.I.G.
Dreams.

We’re a student-led social enterprise with two distinct missions: making robotics accessible through hands-on education, and bringing teams together through VEX and combat robotics competitions.

Our purpose · The B.I.G. three

Build. Inspire. Give.

Our mission is to develop future engineers through hands-on education, mentorship and outreach, while independently organising exciting robotics competitions. We envision a Thailand where more young people can discover engineering, collaborate and compete.

01 / B

Build

Learn engineering by doing: design, assemble, program, test, and improve real robots.

02 / I

Inspire

Spark curiosity and teamwork through mentoring, creative problem-solving and inspiring robotics events.

03 / G

Give

Work towards sharing robotics kits and opportunities with underprivileged schools across Thailand.

About us

Students creating opportunities for students.

Launch is a team of seven students in Thailand brought together by a shared belief: the best way to discover engineering is to try it yourself.

Our education initiative begins with a planned line-tracking ECA at Bangkok Patana School, using custom-built kits and a structured syllabus. Separately, we are developing VEX and combat robotics competitions as events for teams to test their skills. We also aim to bring accessible robotics learning to schools with fewer resources.

01First school programme: Bangkok Patana School
A beginning, with ambitions to grow across Thailand.
01 / Robotics education

Learn by building.

Our teaching programmes focus on hands-on engineering, electronics, sensors, microcontrollers and programming. These educational activities are separate from the competitions Launch plans to organise.

Inside our planned teaching curriculum

Our line-tracking ECA syllabus is being developed around the engineering design process, basic electronics, motors, IR sensors, microcontrollers, programming, robot assembly and optional advanced PID/control concepts. Class schedules and participation details are not yet confirmed.

Our teaching approach

Learn. Build. Improve.

Our ECA is a teaching programme in its own right, distinct from the VEX and combat competitions we plan to organise.

Learn the fundamentals

Get to know the essential principles of electronics, mechanisms, and programming through a structured syllabus.

Build and refine

Assemble a custom line-tracking robot, test its performance, debug its code, and improve the design.

Test and improve

Apply new skills through line-tracking challenges, experimentation and iterative improvements to each robot.

Meet the founders

Built by students. For students.

Seven student founders bring together design, programming, production, curriculum, operations and outreach. Everyone helps mentor students, with session leads rotating by specialty.

02 / Competitions we organise

Build a team. Take on the challenge.

Alongside our teaching activities, Launch is developing independent robotics competitions in two categories: VEX robotics and combat robotics. These events are separate from our ECA classes and teaching syllabus. Event dates, rules and registration details will be announced when confirmed.

Planned independent event

VEX robotics competitions

Team-based engineering competitions that challenge participants to design, build, program and improve VEX robots. Launch plans to organise VEX events separately from its education programmes.

Combat robotics competitions

Design-focused robot combat events with an emphasis on creativity, testing and responsible, safety-led competition. The format and safety rules are still being developed.

Two distinct parts of Launch. Our ECA teaches robotics skills using custom line-tracking kits. Our competitions provide separate opportunities for robotics teams to participate in VEX and combat events. Taking part in the ECA is not described as a requirement for competitions.

Our ambition

Creating impact beyond one classroom.

We want students at more schools to have the chance to discover robotics. Our long-term approach is to develop practical kits and share them with underprivileged schools across Thailand, supported by learning materials that help students get started.

Help us widen access to robotics.

We welcome conversations with schools, educators, mentors, and potential supporters who share our commitment to practical STEM education.
